About MT

MT is a incredibly happy and charming 13 year old boy. MT loves running and laughing with his friends. His mother is an extremely educated women who has taught him to be one of the most respectful and kind boys you'll ever meet. His father, a wonderfully talented musician, as instilled a love for music in MT. You will always catch MT participating the the fullest extent in music class and moving his body to any beat he hears. As MT transitions to Middle School next year, he will be welcomed by a new group of peers and teachers, who he will all instantly cause to smile!

About this Website:

I have created this website to serve as a transition plan for MT. As turnover rates are high will all aspects of team, this website is to serve as a common ground for paperwork and plans.

Going forward, all documents could be saved in editable form on either Google Docs or MySD42. This way, entire team will have access to make changes and access to the most recent versions of documents.

About the website creator, Mark Dowler

My name is Mark Dowler. Before completing my BEd I taught Sport Science labs at Douglas College. Since then, I have been working in SD43 Coquitlam and SD42 Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows for three years. I have taught a grade grade 1/2 class, 2/3 class, grade 4/5 class, and in various Support/Student Services temporary positions. I also continue to teach continuing education at Douglas College for students wanting to become Personal Trainers.

I gravitate towards students who don’t learn through traditional methods or who need extra support, whatever it may be. I love connecting with students, building relationships, and finding novel ways to help them learn to the best of their abilities. This passion led me to complete a Montessori Diploma last year, and led me to begin this course and the SETS Post Degree Diploma program.

On a personal note, I am married, have a 2 year old son, newborn baby, and labrador-cross-golden retriever. My occasional free time is spent walking the trails of Maple Ridge and aspiring for a spot one day on Canada’s Handyman Challenge.
